About Paisley
Paisley is Scotland's largest town, with approximately 74,000 inhabitants and is also one of its most historic. It is located 7 miles west of Glasgow and dates back to the 12th century when it grew up around Paisley Abbey.

During the 18th and 19th centuries the town became famous for its textile industries and the 'Paisley Pattern' which is based on a Kashmiri design of curving shapes.
